The Maryland Terrapins Malik Washington. The three quarterbacks are Washington, Justyn Martin, and Kristian Martin. And J. Martin has one career start at the FBS level that he made for UCLA vs. Penn State on Oct. 8, 2024, going 24-of-35 (68.6%) for 179 yards, 1 TD, 0 INTs. Washington is a true freshman QB for Maryland.

With the win last week for the season opener, the Terps have won 14 straight non-conference openers, the third-longest streak in the Big Ten, behind only Ohio State (22) and Michigan State (15). Maryland’s streak dates back to 2010 when the Terps beat Navy 17-14 at M&T Bank
Stadium in Baltimore and includes two wins over ranked Texas teams.

Maryland has won 16 straight games against non-conference opponents, the longest
active streak in the country. Under head coach Michael Locksley, the Terps are 18-1 in
non-conference games with wins over Virginia Tech, West Virginia, #23 NC State, #21
Syracuse, Virginia (twice) and Auburn. This is the longest streak for Maryland in the last
40 years.

Maryland’s seven straight wins by at least 14 points against non-conference opponents is
also the second-longest active streak in FBS (Tennessee-11). The Terps have committed no
more than two turnovers in any of their last 24 non-conference games. The only
FBS teams with longer active such streaks are LSU (29) and Ohio State (26).

Malik’s a little older than his years in the way he handles things, and best part about it is he’s only going to get better.
